Starlight - Final University Project

SAE University College - Audio Engineering

I'm happy to share that I’ve recently completed my final university project—a major milestone in my academic journey. Shoutout to Samantha Gayle and Mira Diamante for making our design vision come to life!

During this project, I created an eight-track album which allowed me to explore and apply the skills I have developed throughout my studies across multiple areas of audio, including studio production and live sound.

You can listen to my album here: https://lnkd.in/etvadVm8

A highlight of the experience was organizing two live showcases to present the album, where I planned and organised both events and programmed the lighting live using Lightkey DMX software. The original plan was to control all five parcans with a 512-channel lighting controller, but I ended up using a lighting control software instead.

This shift was made despite time constraints—with a day to spare, as the laptop provided a more versatile and efficient solution for controlling the lights during the live event.

Special thanks to Rikus Venter and Cameron van Dijken for assisting me on the day and for having played a key part in this project's success!

In addition, I’m excited to announce that I have started Freelancing in the audio field, with a focus on live events. It’s been a valuable experience filled with learning and creative growth, and I’m looking forward to new opportunities and challenges in the industry.
